Wearable device for livestock traceability and biometrics

Developed Android and iOS versions of apps to communicate with wearable BLE sensors.

HerdDogg is a wearable systems for improving accuracy of livestock traceability and biometrics. Essentially, a Wearable for Cows.

The product was featured in the TV show America’s Greatest Makers — An Intel Experiment in 2016.

Two versions of the Android app were developed to communicate directly with DoggTags via Bluetooth LE and save data to the cloud. The second version featured Android background services, support for multiple BLE tags, integration with Google’s Firebase back-end services, and local caching via Realm database.

Also developed iOS consumer app based on BLE SDK and cloud integration with Firebase.
